We are delighted to invite you to the first Mindful Eating Silence Retreat to celebrate the end of our #WMEM2022 journey together. Why a silent retreat? Silence is important because it promotes intimacy with ourselves. Silence allows us to sink into our experience, to be able to listen to our body. We can tune in to the wisdom of the body and begin to trust what it tells us. Silence is the doorway to consciousness. Building on our gardeners’ metaphor, consciousness is like the earth of our garden, containing all the seeds. And the seeds that we water will grow into plants. And then they bloom. And the blossom becomes mental formations. So the silence practice allows us to see the quality of our thinking, what we are feeding the mind with. What seeds are we watering. What plants are we growing. What is our garden of the mind looking like.
