There are a few spaces available in this upcoming Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Retreat! MB-EAT is a powerful approach that addresses the mindless eating so prevalent in our culture that can lead to weight gain, obesity, disordered eating patterns and stress-related eating.

In this highly participatory weekend, you will experience a new approach to eating, supported by NIH-funded research, that helps you cultivate your inner wisdom through a variety of mindful eating practices and guided meditations. You will learn a way to eat that is more attuned to your body's needs, how to experience the full pleasure and taste of food without overeating, and how to release the guilt and struggle so often associated with dieting. Outer wisdom -- making personal use of current, scientifically-based nutrition and exercise guidelines, without dieting undefined will also be explored.

The weekend includes daily sitting meditation, eating meditations, discussion and gentle movement and yoga exercises to bring awareness and deepen understanding of mindfulness meditation and mindful eating as it applies to both eating and balanced present joyful living. No previous mindfulness meditation experience is required.

CEs available for professionals. See further information on Esalen website.
