Mindfulness-based exercise enhances your ability to eat mindfully by embodying the skill of meeting your whole person where you are in the present moment. In this webinar we will discuss and practice embodied presence through moving well, the way your body is designed, and how to use exercise as a time to practice this whole person skill. We will highlight how common misinformation about exercise tends to separate us from our bodies and discuss how exercise can become a time to practice befriending your body, rather than working against it. You will create a plan that not only can enhance your ability to enjoy exercise while strengthening your whole-person skills for being mindful in daily life. Participants should be prepared for gentle movement throughout the event.

1. List the ways mindfulness, movement, and motivation science overlap to simplify knowing what to do for exercise in a way that enhances mindfulness, self-compassion, and supports self-motivation
2. Discuss common misconceptions about exercise that limit a healthy connection with your body and the whole-person science-based information that helps clear that misinformation.
3. Demonstrate how to be present in your body with greater ease and trust when still and when moving.
4. Describe how to use this information to create a plan for using exercise as moments of self-care to support mindful self-compassion skills.
Janet transforms exercise from a ‘should’ to a user-friendly form of self-care. Through the blending of movement, mindfulness and motivation science, exercise becomes an easy-to-use resource for restoring whole-person wellbeing. Janet holds a master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, is a certified health and wellness coach, and certified mindful movement/yoga teacher. For the past thirty years, she has enjoyed being part of various health care teams, teaching people with health concerns how to use exercise as part of their plan for improving health. By incorporating mindfulness she found exercise no longer left clients feeling guilt, shame, or self-doubt. Instead, this mindfulness-based exercise bolstered whole-person confidence that supported other health habits as well. This led her to create Exercising WELL, coaching and online program that offers a simple solution to the void for a science-based, whole-person approach to exercise. Experience her insatiable curiosity and contagious enthusiasm for the ways the mind, body, and heart work best when they work together at www.ExercisingWELL.com or contact her directly at Janet@ExercisingWell.com
