In recent scientific studies we understand better how a compassionate mind do influence our brains, bodies and the way we relate to ourselves and food. During the teleconference the impact of compassion on eating habits will be explored and different tools to water the seeds of mindfulness and compassion within ourselves and our patients.


Participants will:

  • Understand better our relationship with food from compassionate perspective
  • Learn tools how to manage distress compassionately
  • Understand our emotional system and the benefits of a compassionate approach

This teleconference is free and open to everyone interested in mindful eating, including professionals from all disciplines. Space is limited to 100 participants. Telephone and online access is available. A recording of the webinar will be made available following the presentation.

Caroline Baerten (Belgium) is a Mindfulness-based dietitian/RD and integrative psychotherapist (i.t) specializing in work with disordered eating behaviour, weight issues and sustainability. She is a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) trainee with the Center for Mindfulness, UMass Medical School (USA) and a student of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh at the Institute of Applied Buddhism (Germany).
Caroline has founded MeNu, a health center for Mindful eating and Nutrition in Europe, Brussels. In clinical one-to-one and group settings, she trains Mindful eating and MBSR for those who struggle with weight, body image and food related problems.
