Anxiety & Food: Breaking the Habit of Stress Eating
Autumn 2014 Food for Thought

Our Autumn Issue of Food for Thought is now available. In this issue, titled Anxiety & Food: Breaking the Habit of Stress Eating, we take a deeper look at our habits and offer guidance on how to change them. In “On a Scale of All or Nothing, How Anxious Are You?” Char Wilkins, MSW, LCSW, shares her compassionate insights from her work with clients suffering from anxiety and stress eating. Jan Chozen Bays, MD and Zen Roshi, offers practical guidance to practice mindful eating, even when anxiety is present in “Anxiety Can Prevent us from Eating Mindfully.” Caroline Baerten, RD, offers this month's educational handout, “Full Living in the Turmoil of Anxiety," with a simple four-step process for working with these emotions. In this issue you will also hear from members of our Board sharing their experiences at our Annual retreat, meet our summer intern and more.

We are delighted that our Autumn 2014 Food for Thought Anxiety & Food is also available in Spanish! See our Spanish Resources page for more translations of our mindful eating materials.
