The Center for Mindful Eating |
Meditation is a tool that can help us both personally and professionally as clinicians, and it can be a useful complement to a mindful eating practice if we learn to teach it to our clients. Meditation changes both the structure and function of the brain, which is how it changes the ways in which we experience our lives and can move toward positive behavioral changes. This webinar will look at both the science and the spirituality of meditation, in particular from the vantage point of the dietitian.
Participants will be able to articulate what meditation is and is not
Participants will be able to describe how the structure and function of the brain changes as the result of meditation
Participants will be able to list three ways in which meditation complements a mindful eating practice
